About the film

The film is being jointly produced by actress and New York Times bestselling author Karen Duffy, award-winning filmmaker Yellow Dog Productions, and the U.S. Pain Foundation. The message for the documentary is “HOPE”… something that most documentaries on pain, addiction, and opioids have failed to deliver on. We want to show a future that raises the bar for the practice of pain management and educate sufferers, families, and care givers on various other technologies and treatments available for pain management.

I tried to paint a picture
Of how I really feel.
But I could not find the colors,
To make it all seem real.
Not one color was hot enough,
To show the burning pain.
Not one color was bright enough,
To make me wince again.
Not one was dark enough,
To show the isolation.
In the end saw one thin line
Worn, frayed and almost broke.
To my mind that one thin line,
Is a single thread of hope.
